𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗲: Director, co-writer and star Robert Townsend skewers Hollywood is this satire about the typecasting of Black actors in the ‘80s studio system. Townsend puts forth a charismatic performance as a struggling actor trying to break into the industry. Presented in a series of comedy sketches, HOLLYWOOD SHUFFLE is a rebellious pop culture critique that is still as prescient today as it was upon release.
